In what’s been the most violent night in Odesa in recent memory, a drone and missile attack resulted in the deaths of three civilians and injured almost 30 - including three children and a pregnant woman. Debris from destroyed Russian drones caused damage to an apartment complex, resulting in a fire. Air raid sirens and the loud sound of explosion from anti-air fire could be heard throughout the port city in the middle of the night
Floodwaters receded slightly in some parts of southern Ukraine but surged in others overnight on June 9-10 as rescue efforts continued. As a result of the explosion, 62% of its volume - or 12.24 cubic km of water - leaked out of the Kakhovsky reservoir. Meanwhile, the Russian army shelled the Ship District of Kherson, wounding two volunteers. They were taken to the hospital. The evacuation of people was suspended due to artillery fire - Suspilne
At night, the Russian forces attacked Poltava Oblast: drones and ballistic and cruise missiles hit the Myrhorod military airfield. The infrastructure of the airfield and equipment were damaged, and there were no casualties or injuries. Private buildings and cars were also damaged as a result of falling debris - Suspilne
The humanitarian situation in Ukraine is “hugely worse” than before the Kakhovka dam collapsed, the UN's top aid official warned on June 9.

Rules for thee, but not for me: an investigation by Ukrainian journalists has busted Kyiv’s privileged money class - including at least two public officials - for fluting curfew regulations and socialising late into the night. The same behaviour was observed during Covid-19 lockdowns in Kyiv. At least two restaurants were identified as keeping their doors open and serving customers far into the wee hours of the night.
